About Dunster Tithe Barn
This unique, historic building is filled with warmth and rustic charm. It has been lovingly and carefully restored to provide you with a blank canvas to personalise to your hearts content.
The Tithe Barn is an approved premises for civil marriages and partnerships meaning that you could have your wedding ceremony in the Barn. Alternatively, you may wish to exchange your vows in the beautiful St George’s Church, a few steps away from the Tithe Barn.
Exclusive access before and after the wedding day
The Dunster Tithe Barn Community Hall is available for weddings all year round. You will have exclusive access to the Tithe Barn from the day before your wedding day (for setting up) through to the morning after your big day for clearing up.
Main Hall Features
The Main Hall has a vaulted ceiling with oak beams, a sprung oak floor and lime washed walls. It provides a large flexible open space for up to 120 seated guests, depending on the table configuration you choose. It is licensed for up to 180 people for your evening function.
The Main Hall also has a mezzanine which can provide guests with a birds eye view of proceedings.
Additional Rooms
Meeting Room
The Meeting Room has been designed sympathetically to fit in with the Main Hall’s look and feel. It can seat up to 60 guests and is often used by couples when they exchange their vows.Reception Area
The Tithe Barn has a beautiful reception area with a stone floor, access to a fully equipped, catering standard kitchen and separate washroom facilities.
Fully Licensed Bar
Archer Events can provide you with a fully licensed bar service in partnership with the Dunster Tithe Barn Community Hall. We will put you in touch with Archer Events who will be pleased to work closely with you as you plan your special day.
Outside Spaces
We have a private car park which can hold up to 30 cars. Or, you may choose to use the car park to host street food vendors for your guests!
Dunster Village Gardens
The Tithe Barn also has direct access to a stunning large walled garden, which can be hired through the Dunster Village Garden Society (a separate but closely affiliated charity), we will be happy to facilitate your contact with Dunster Village Garden Society if you choose to take advantage of this. Your guests could relax and enjoy the sunshine on your special day, or go wild on a bouncy castle. The possibilities are endless.
