Overview: This year Dunster by Candlelight will be presenting a 2 day "Candlelight Fair" in the Tithe Barn over the two evenings of Candlelight. Proceeeds from the fair will be shared between Dunster by Candlelight (as a contribution towards the cost of running Candlelight) and St Margaret's Hospice.

There will be an exciting selection of stallholders and also refreshments and snacks.

The St Margaret’s Hospice Hog Roast will also be in the car park if you need something more substantial.

Doors will be open between 3pm and 9pm on both Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd December and admission will be free.

Dunster Short Mat Bowls Club

Monday Evenings 7:30pm till 9.00pm

Short mat bowls is an indoor version of lawn bowls played on a mat with a length of around 45-60 feet. The objective of the game is to roll bowls towards a target, called the jack, and score points by getting closer to it than the opponent's bowls. It is played with four bowls per player, and the game can be played individually or in teams. The rules of short mat bowls vary slightly depending on the governing body, but generally follow the same principles as outdoor lawn bowls.
